I drive a GSX-R 1000 and I would really like to get a cruiser as well, I want to stay under $2000, but I don't care if it's banged up or dropped or even if it needs a little work.

95' shadows NADA around $1500, and one of those would work fine for me, when all is said and done including insurance and a small tune up done by me when I buy is it realistic to budget for under 2g?

if not, what should I figure?

    thanks a lot!
what else should I look for?
    here fag:

I just don't know anything about cruisers, anytime your in colorado let me know so I can come smoke your 750!
that 1 with all the 0's behind it on the tail means a thousand (which is actually a 98 and it's a GSX-R or GSXR not GSX/R ... u want to pick my shit apart yours better be perfect.

Look at older Toyota Corollas, as they go forever.

$1500 for a '95 Shadow is a fair price... Now all you have to do is find one for sale. If you're looking for a used bike, go online to eBay or Craig's List, or check the classifieds in your local newspaper to find out what's available. Prices are usually a bit higher in the springtime, and lower in the fall, but if you're willing to do some research and keep your eyes open, there are some bargains to be found.

    Good luck!

Also look at Yamaha V-star 1100. Good bike. Low price in it's class. Strong and reliable motor.

You better test drive one first...gonna be a real dog and you are not going to have the same feel for the road after riding a sport-bike. But I think you can find a low mileage one in decent shape at that price if you hit Craig's list , don't get in a hurry and keep your eyes open.

I think you just claimed to "drive" and GSX/R 1000 so we don't bash you for being a newbie. It's cool man. Everybody has to start somewhere.

    Go for it.
